Real Grade 1/144 - Shining Gundam

The Shining Gundam is an iconic mobile suit from the anime Mobile Fighter G Gundam. It is piloted by Domon Kasshu, the series' protagonist. This mobile suit is particularly notable for its unique design and special abilities, most notably the "Shining Finger," a devastating attack in which Domon concentrates an enormous amount of energy into his fingers, capable of destroying opponents.

The Shining Gundam boasts a sleek design with vibrant colors (primarily red, blue, and gold) and a more humanoid architecture than other Gundams in the franchise. Its combat system relies on a combination of speed and raw power, with great agility in close combat, a stark contrast to other Gundams that are often heavier and geared towards ranged combat. The mobile suit evolves throughout the series, particularly as it receives upgrades and adaptations to face increasingly powerful opponents in the World Gundam Battle Tournament.

The term Gunpla refers to the plastic model kits of mecha, characters, or vehicles from the Japanese Gundam franchise, marketed by Bandai; it is a contraction of "Gundam plastic model." It first appeared in 1980.
